Just Follow Me

“JUST FOLLOW ME is the most moving novel I’ve read in a long, long time. The characters are heartbreakingly real and every word Donald Capone writes rings true. At times suspenseful, at other times touching, this is a book that will sweep you into its enormous heart.”
TED HELLER, author of POCKET KINGS, SLAB RAT, and WEST OF BABYLON

Donald Capone has achieved that rare combination of a page-turning mystery with a clear and unfailing author’s eye on the details that make this story shine without bogging the reader down in history. Capone takes the assassination of John Lennon and entwines it into the life of young Angela Girardi, a character with almost nothing left to lose, but whose grace, attitude, and sensitivity carry the narrative with an almost Hemingway-like simplicity.”
ANDI ROSENTHAL, author of THE BOOKSELLER’S SONNETS

“A suspenseful page-turner because even though we know how it is going to end, we don’t really know.”
LEN JOY, author of AMERICAN PAST TIME

~

“This is a wonderfully gripping novel. Told in direct, lucid prose in a layered chronology that tells a wider story, Capone takes us back to a time before John Lennon’s death. Those interested in the Beatles and their avid followers, both innocent and malign, will find much to ponder here.”

TOM SAUNDERS, author of INAPPROPRIATE HAPPINESS

“This is a truly engaging and moving book…but what really sucked me in were the characters. Angela makes the trip with her somewhat-boyfriend, Tommy, and this is as much a coming-of-age story as it is a historical snapshot of a heartbreaking day for millions of fans.”
SUSAN DiPLACIDO, author of 24/7 and HOUSE MONEY

Into the Sunset

I loved the premise of INTO THE SUNSET from the moment I heard it…I could see the story play out on the big screen as I read about the hilarious adventures (and misadventures) of Wayne Benson, who attempted to balance a job and crush with his new life and new romance at the old folks home. We learn about both the shady underbelly of retirement living (the black market! blackmail!), as well as the surprising beauty of it–steamy sex, in addition to new love and friendship. And though the book is consistently funny, we also see the darker side of living a lie–the unexpected turmoil it brings, and its consequence. A very enjoyable read.

INTO THE SUNSET is a lively, engaging, romp-of-a-read, and by the end of the book, Wayne’s attitude and understanding have greatly softened—a truly older, wiser and more sanguine Wayne has emerged for us, his readers, and we welcome his rebirth into old age.”
